Quizalize - Engage Your Class Using Game-based Quizzes

Quizalize is a fun quiz tool that you use to increase students' engagement, increase engagement and improve learning. How Quizalize works is like the two gaming devices I reviewed earlier: Kahoot , Blooket , Quizlet and Quizizz . Teachers use Quizalize to create a variety of questions that students can use using generated code.

Try it out and ask questions based on the questions

As students complete their questions, teachers collect relevant insights and analysis data regarding their performance and immediately monitor students' progress. These reports are particularly useful in formal assessments, providing basic information for teachers to plan effective interventions, to provide students with a variety of learning opportunities, and to inform them about curriculum planning and learning strategies.

As a teacher, you can use Quizalize to create blank questions or search an existing library (such as the Resources section) for existing questions created by other teachers. You can either play on the "Leadership" board, use the "Team vs. Team" game mode so that students can answer questions correctly in class, or set up a homework assignment that students must complete at their own pace. .

Compared to other game-based tools, Quizalize has three main features for me: As a first feature, it is especially useful for special training. When students complete the questions, teachers review student outcomes and identify learning problems and suggest monitoring activities and resources based on the results. These sources may include YouTube videos, PDF worksheets, web activity or other questions. The second feature is the ability to customize exams with state curriculum standards, allowing you to learn more accurately about student performance in a review notebook and skills panel. However, this feature is only available to end users.

The last interesting feature that surprised me was the text-to-speech feature. It is not only an access service but also a tool to help students improve their reading comprehension skills. You can enable all your questions and answers from text to speech and prepare the language for audio output. "Listens to the selected language text. For example, the 'English' option reads English text and the 'Spanish' option reads Spanish text.

Then, click Add Question to start adding questions to your question. You can import them from a spreadsheet or quizlet. If you click Add question, enter your question and type the following (optional): correct answer, incorrect answer, explanatory answer and subtitle or skill. Identifying questions for a specific subtitle or skill allows you to test students' proficiency for that subtitle. "If you have a premium account, your exams should be marked in your state curriculum if possible. Otherwise, student achievement information will not fill your skills control panel."

Let students answer questions (5 seconds to 5 minutes). Your questions include photos (5 MB maximum file size), audio (5 MB) and text (authorized students can read the questions and answers aloud.)

Once your request is ready, you can assign it to your class by placing it in the My Library section or by clicking "Save and Rate".

How to prepare questions for students

There are two types of questions you can assign to your students. You can plan questions in one or more sections. To set up the quiz, click on the three-point key for the particular quiz you want to share and choose one of the following options: Play in the finishing room or do your homework.

A. Play in class

When choosing to play in class, you must choose between two game modes: Play Game Leaderboard (Student Performance is displayed directly on the screen) or Team Vs. Team (student names appear on the screen and each answer shows students "put a flag in the middle of the names you give as the game approaches").

B. Give as homework

When setting a query as a function, you must set the first and last date in the activity settings. You can also choose whether you want to enable master mode (ie, if all the answers are correct) Use music and sound (play music and sound on the device), set a timer for each question, number of tests () number of students attempted, The number of questions (use all selected questions per question or selected number) and more are allowed to be set.

How to plan other activities

Each time you prepare a quiz, you will have the opportunity to plan your next step. You can assign different follow-up activities for different student groups. Quizalize divides students into three main groups
  1. Less than 50% students get.
  2. 50-80% of students are enrolled.
  3. Students who scored 80% or higher
The inputs you can categorize include: YouTube videos , PDF spreadsheets, web activity or other questions.

How to share questions with students

To enter and participate in the quiz you create, you must share the zz.ish student portal URL and special class code. If you set the query as a function, you must share the generated URL and code with students via email, chat or directly to LMS. If you choose to run a class query, the class URL and class code will appear at the top of the game view. Remember that each class has a unique class code and make sure you share the correct code with the relevant class.

You can share a series of questions you have created with other students and teachers. This does not apply to quizized resource center questions, only to questions you create. When you share details of all questions with students in this way, you will not be able to view student performance data in your control panel and assign different tracking sources.

How to share your exam list with students
  • Click on the question you created
  • For a list of social questions, click on your name under the heading
  • Copy the URL from the browser's URL bar and share it with students
